A simple way to take care of your wrists
Something we see all the time with new members in their first few months isn’t what you might expect.
It’s not sore legs from squats or tired arms from pull-ups.
It’s their wrists.
Push-ups, planks, hand support in yoga, even hanging work — they all put more demand on the wrists than most people are used to. Add in long hours at a desk or on a phone, and suddenly the wrists are stiff, achy, or just not feeling up to the task.
We hear things like:
“My arms feel fine, but my wrists are killing me.”
“I didn’t think push-ups would be a wrist workout.”
And honestly? That’s normal.
The wrists are small joints that rarely get trained directly, but they’re the foundation for so many movements we do.
The good news is they don’t need much to feel better. With a few minutes of focused mobility and strengthening work, they start to adapt quickly. We’ve seen members go from avoiding push-ups to moving with confidence again — not because they got “stronger” overnight, but because they started giving their wrists the same care they’d give any other part of their body.
A Small Step You Can Start With
We’ve put together a simple 5-minute wrist sequence that we often share with new members. It doesn’t take long, but it makes a big difference — whether you’re sitting at a desk all day, flowing through yoga, or trying to build up to your first set of push-ups.
It’s a small daily habit that can help you feel more comfortable in your training and more capable in the long run.
Take care of your wrists, and everything else — from push-ups to handstands to simply carrying your shopping — feels a little easier.
